Two years ago, we had a crazy idea! What if, instead of filling a carafe with just liquid, we also filled it with light? With Solentra, we want to bring beauty and light to tables and homes around the world – a true testament to the modern art of living.
Larry and Alban, active in the Cognac ‘Spirit Valley’ region, where over 50% of the world’s super premium spirits are produced, met in 2013 and were quickly collaborating on innovative projects involving wood and packaging. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they sought a solution to package a liquid and a food solid for DIY infusion. The challenge was to package a distilled spirit and the food solid – separately, but contained within the confines of the bottle itself, without external packaging. The result was the patented Isola technology, which gave birth to the Solentra lampe e tcarafe.
